Did You Know?

What having a “healthy caution” toward adults can mean, part 2

Having a healthy caution towards adults means requiring all adults to follow safety rules, outlined in policies or codes of conduct, no matter what position they hold in an organization. Adults must also be willing to look at their own behavior and ensure that it is aligned with safety policies and practices. Monitoring the behavior of all adults and speaking up if something is uncomfortable or unsettling — no matter what the relationship between the adults is — it’s critical to keeping children safe. For more information, read the VIRTUS® article “Why Should We Have a Healthy Caution Toward Adults” at https://lacatholics.org/did-you-know/.
