Merry Christmas

Fourth Sunday of Advent

The Nativity of Christ our Lord

“They shall name him Emmanuel, which means God is with us.” Matthew 1:23

Christmas is already here rejoice, again I say rejoice! Yes, rejoice in His light because that is precisely what baby Jesus want to bring to our hearts light, love, peace and joy. We heard from the prophet Isaiah: The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom a light has shone. You have brought them abundant joy and great rejoicing.

Christmas is a time to celebrate with family and friends the greatest gift that God has given us: His Son Jesus. Let us not forget the true meaning and reason of this beautiful season that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, Emmanuel, God is with us. What a beautiful gift! That we too, like the angel of the Lord may spread the good news of great joy for all people and echo his praise to God saying: Glory be to God in the highest and on earth peace to those whom his favor rests! On behalf of Fr. Walter, myself and the whole staff of Mary Immaculate Church we want to wish you and your family a blessed Christmas. May you follow Jesus, the reason of our joy to a shining celebration of faith, peace and love. Merry Christmas!
