Pastor’s Message
It is with praise and thanksgiving to God that our community celebrates twenty five years of priestly service of Fr. Walter Paredes. Some of you may not know this, but I first met Fr. Walter when I was still a young seminarian and he used to help at my home parish of St. Louis of France in the city of La Puente. Since then, I have been inspired by Fr. Walter’s love for his priesthood and the people he has served here in the Archdiocese. I never thought that our paths will cross again here at Mary Immaculate.
I am really grateful for his pastoral support, fraternal guidance and friendship during this time. We are truly blessed by his priesthood and pray that he may continue to be a source of God’s love for many more years to come. Let u not forget in our gratitude to all of those who in one way or another have been the source for his priestly vocation. In a special way, we thank Fr. Walter’s mother Yolanda Trujillo, who has been his force to sustain this vocation and who is now from heaven sharing this joyous occasion. For it is through the celebration of the Eucharist that we all become one in Jesus Christ the High Priest.
Once again, thank you Fr. Walter for your priesthood, friendship and support. We wish you many more years of blessings and spiritual fruitfulness. Thank you Father Walter!
